Lexington ISD
It has been reported by a concerned citizen of Lexington, TX that the Lexington Independent School District has a policy of meting out Saturday detentions for students that have not turned in homework the week before. Called Eagle Time--for the school's mascot-- children not completing an assignment are given up to four hours detention. If the student fails to show up on Saturday, the parents are issued a ticket that carries a $250 fine. This has not been confirmed.
